Back in April we thought spring was here... we enjoyed the mild early part of May...
we took a long day trip to the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman
and we celebrated the hatching of our first home-grown chicks!
And then, completely out of the blue, we were hit hard by a mid-May snow storm. We probably got at least 18" at our house! Very unexpected - and unwanted.
Thankfully it melted relatively quickly, and within about 10 days we had temperatures in the 80s. Weather whiplash!
We also did a long weekend getaway to Sandpoint, Idaho, over Memorial Day weekend. It was lovely to get away, but also hard to leave the homestead when we were finally starting to have nice weather! Let's hope for a lovely (fire-free) summer for all of us.
