Happy New Year!
It's been a fairly quiet month on the farm. The first two weeks were bitterly cold - highs in the single digits at best, and often highs below zero. We hunkered down inside and had lots of family time: baking, watching movies, reading books, etc.
The second half was much more comfortable, with temperatures in the 30s and even occasionally in the 40s! We've been planning to repaint the guest house this spring, so once the weather was a bit warmer we spent some time staring at paint chips and trying to predict what will look best. We think we have some good colors selected, so watch for new exterior photos in April-ish!
In other news, Mike has been working on a new hobby: carving wooden spoons! They are absolutely beautiful and work wonderfully for cooking (or even just decoration!). More to come on his new pastime soon.
Hope your 2020 is off to a great start!
